Data We Collect

• Device Token: Anonymous Apple identifier for push notifications only.
• Preferences: Language, categories, country, notification settings.
• App identifier: A random ID created by the app (not linked to you) to keep your settings, saved stories, reactions and Premium status.
• Reading activity: Anonymous article views and reactions, used only to rank trending stories.
• Sports: the teams you follow (to send their kick-off, goal and full-time alerts) and your pick in match predictions (to show the fans' vote), both tied only to the app identifier. Scores and tables come from public sports data; nothing about you is sent there. Match reminders are scheduled on your iPhone only.
• Purchases: Premium subscriptions and chat packs are processed by Apple; we receive only Apple's signed receipt, and keep a record of each purchase (product, transaction id, chats added) so it is credited exactly once.
• Chat balance («Chat with the story»): your chat balance is tied to your iCloud account so it follows you to a new iPhone. The app reads an anonymous iCloud identifier for this app only (never your name, email or Apple ID); our server stores only a one-way scrambled form of it. To stop abuse of the free trial chats, the server keeps the app identifier and network address that started each trial.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• No names, emails, phone numbers, or personal information.
• No location data (country selected manually).
• No browsing history outside the app.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. The app has no ads and no tracking. The only third parties: when you use «Chat with the story», your question and the conversation about that story are sent to our AI providers (Google Gemini directly or via OpenRouter, or OpenAI gpt-oss via Groq) to write the answer and kept on our server for 90 days to prevent abuse.

Data Storage

• Local: SwiftData on your device.
• Server: Secured PostgreSQL with restricted access.
• Inactive devices removed after 90 days.
• Chat balances and purchase records are kept while they may still be used (bought chats never expire); trial records are kept to prevent repeated trials. Email us to have them deleted.

User Rights

• Disable notifications anytime from Settings.
• Delete app anytime — device record auto-removed after 90 days; chat balance and purchase records are deleted on request by email.
• No account required.

Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

📰 News Sources

Headlines come from 200+ public RSS feeds. To write an accurate summary, our server also reads the public web page each headline links to. We never bypass paywalls or logins.

📜 Terms of Use

Use of the app is governed by Apple's standard licence agreement (Apple EULA) together with the terms below.

ShowEvent Plus subscription

• Monthly auto-renewing subscription; the price is shown in the app before you buy.
• Payment is charged to your Apple account when you confirm the purchase.
• It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends.
• Manage or cancel any time in iPhone Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under its own rules.

Chat packs

• One-time purchases that add chats to your «Chat with the story» balance; bought chats never expire and follow your iCloud account.

Fair use

• Do not misuse the app or its chat (spam, abuse, attempts to break or overload the service).
• News content is for personal, non-commercial use.
